I made this today just for the hell of it (I had my colonoscopy 2 weeks ago, haha!). Naomi, you weren’t kidding — it actually tastes good! I used chicken wings because that’s what I had in the freezer, and strained it through a coffee filter. Came out crystal clear. Thanks for sharing — this is going in my bookmarks for next time.

Just had mine the other week. Honestly, not as bad as I expected. It helps if you’re used to regular fasting like me, though. Deep breaths, lots of water, and trust the process. You’ll get through it.

After my colonoscopy, oatmeal was actually the first solid thing I ate the next morning. I made it plain, with a little milk and honey. Went down really well — no cramps, no problems.

I’d personally avoid raw fruit toppings or anything rough for the first meal, however.

Hi Leon,
Plain white rice is generally fine once you’re fully awake and your tummy feels settled. I used to tell my residents to start with something bland like rice, mashed potato, or dry toast.
Just avoid anything greasy or high in fibre for the rest of the day… so, no fried rice yet!

Hey everyone,
I’m going through the clear liquid diet right now (colonoscopy is tomorrow). I’m really hungry now, and can’t stop thinking about what I’m going to eat tomorrow.
I know I’m supposed to ease back into solid food, but I’m craving a plate of fried rice. Can I eat rice after colonoscopy, or should I wait a bit longer?

Love all these ideas! I did a veggie version with Massel clear cubes, celery, and bay leaf and it was way better than I expected. Still crystal clear.

Same vibe here — started healthy with a protein shake and banana… but ended the night with half a pizza. My excuse: “doctor said I should eat something.” 😅
